Once the design development has been completed, the implementation phase begins.
Rebecca oversees the selection, specification and purchasing of custom or stock furnishings, textiles, window treatments, accessories, rugs and artwork.
Expect to see a few carefully selected alternatives - she will narrow down the infinite possibilities to a chosen few. And while it may not be easy to choose between the amazing options you'll be given, you can be sure that, whatever you choose, your style and lifestyle will come shining through.
Beginning in October of last year, Rebecca started on a complete remodel of a kitchen and powder room, plus the replacement of the cabinetry and sinks in the master bath. It took Rebecca 70 hours from start to finish, and the execution spanned four months.
For a project of this size, it's not surprising that it took six weeks just to discover the options for the kitchen and make selections, so that the contractor could provide a price for the remodeling. The fixtures originally selected by the homeowners were exquisite, but, once the price for the remodel was known, the homeowners decided to reduce the budget on the fixtures.
During the 70 hours of design development and implementation, Rebecca provided these services:
- Meetings with client, six suppliers, five contractors over the course of four months
- Research and shopping visits to a variety of showrooms around Atlanta; selections of samples
- Drawings, floor plans
- Selections of fixtures, tile, floor coverings, paint colors, plumbing fixtures, cabinets, door and cabinet pulls, appliances, tile layout plans for kitchen floor nad wall
- Ordering custom furniture
